In an effort to stay more connected with our parishioners and friends, St. Louis Church is asking for updated contact information, especially email addresses. Our goal is to use this updated data to more effectively communicate with you regarding schedule changes and pertinent parish news. We will be implementing in the future the option to receive our weekly parish bulletin electronically, which is more efficient and cost-efficient for the parish. 2022 Parish Calendars are Available

Masses/Bells for 2022

The Mass and Bell Schedules are now FULLY Open for 2022 . The best way to submit a Mass and bell request is to fill out a Mass Intention Envelope/ Bell Intention envelope. Envelopes are available in the rear of the church. Mass and Bell Intention Envelopes can be dropped in any collection or mailed to the parish office. The suggested stipend for a Mass is $10. and $25. for the Bell.

Next Organ Recital Tuesday, January 4th, 2022

St. Louis Church's Organ Concerts continue on Tuesdays following our 12:10pm Mass. The January 4th concert recitalist is organist Wolff von Roos. Wolf is Artist-In-Residence of Broadway United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. For a complete schedule of concert information, see our website HERE

Endowment Collection For Fourth Sunday

The end of the year is coming fast and we are thankful for your kind and generosity toward our Father Paul F. Morrissey in Memory of John Nasseff Endowment Fund. This weekend we will be taking up a collection at all of the Masses. Remember our goal is to reach a million dollars. Currently our Endowment totals$801,301.00

This Year's New Crèche

Our Crèche this year was designed and constructed by George and Bob Juaire. The Juaire family has been constructing crèches since 1960. Construction and design are still overseen by their father Bob Juaire who is 95 years old. Inspiration for the new crèche came from a memory of Dayton's Department Store window display. The French blue color was in honor of Marists Fathers. +Father Thomas Dubay, Father Ronald DeRosiers, and of course Father Paul Morrissey, although his name sounds a wee bit Irish. So be sure to take a close look. This year's crèche will be with us until Wednesday, February 2 The Feast of the "Presentation of the Lord."

Christmas Flowers and the Decoration for the Church

Please consider helping with the expense of decorating the church by contributing to the Christmas Flower Fund! Donations can be made in memory or in honor of a loved one. Please be sure your name is on the front and the name(s) of the person(s) in whose memory/honor you are making the donation is written clearly on the back. Envelopes are available at the back of the church and can be dropped in any collection basket on Sundays or mailed to the parish office. Please do not drop these envelopes in the money slots in the church or chapel. Thank you.

The Retirement Fund for Religious. Envelopes are available in the vestibule of the church. They can be dropped in any collection basket during the week or on Sunday or mailed directly to the Parish Office. Thank you for your generosity.

Tax Letters Regarding Contributions

If you would like to receive a letter with the total amount you have contributed to St. Louis Church during the 2021 calendar year, please send a request to Mark at the parish office. Do this either through the mail, by putting the request in an envelope in any of the collection baskets, or you may email your request to markmstlouis@comcast.net. Thank you.

Let God meet you at a beautiful retreat location in Lake Elmo, MN. Join us for a Men's Silent Retreat at the Demontreville Jesuit House January 20 – January 23. Serve as a Totus Tuus Missionary!

The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis is in need of college-age men and women with missionary hearts who are committed to their Catholic faith and feel called to share it with the youth around the Archdiocese. This is a two-month commitment (Just 3 – July 30), which includes one week of training and a one-week break for Independence Day. Missionaries receive a $2,520. stipend for the summer and meals and lodging are provided. The policy of St. Louis, King of France Parish with regard to Aid the Homeless

The policy of our parish is that we are unable to honor individual requests for financial or any other kind of help. The parish does support both the Union Gospel Mission (literally around the corner on Minnesota and 9 St.) and Dorothy Day House (three blocks west, near Assumption Church). Persons in need should seek assistance from those organizations. Please do not give any money to someone asking. If you are approached either outside or inside the church, please report the incident to the parish office at 651-224-3379 or email at markmstlouis@comcast.net

As always we will be providing a security person at all of our upcoming Christmas Masses.

Becoming Catholic

Adults who would like to become Catholic or Catholic Adults who have never been confirmed may become part of the RCIA Program (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adult). Parking News Update

A notice was sent to the parish office recently that as of Friday, July 30th the ramp at the Elmer Anderson building has been closed for parking on the weekends. Abundant parking however still exists in the open lot on Wabasha and 10th, 'kitty-corner' from the front of the church.

Sacraments for Seniors – Four Critical ways You Can Help!

Some of our brothers and sisters who are living in care facilities do not have access to the sacraments due to COVID-19 restrictions. This is possible to do safely. How can you make a difference? There are four concrete actions you can take.

Request clergy offer in-house Masses or religious services at a care facility near you;
ask facilities to allow open door policies for clergy and pastoral care providers;
If you, or someone you know, is a eucharistic Minister, distribute communion to Catholic care facility residents as frequently as possible; and finally
Invite church members to visit and pray with residents. Our challenge: Reach out to one care facility in the Twin Cities to encourage them to open their doors to the clergy. Imaging the impact if each of you took up this challenge. You could be saving someone's life and, most importantly, someone's eternal soul. Parking

There is plenty of free parking in two different areas for the weekend Masses. 1. Our own church parking lot behind the church. 2. The parking lot at the corner of 10th and Wabasha for the Ramsey County Department of Public Health.

People Around The Church Asking for Money

The police recommend that when you are confronted by a person asking you for money, a very good response is to immediately say "no" and to keep moving. If the person persists, repeat your response of "no" but briefly communicate to them that you will make a contribution to help support the work of Catholic Charities or the Union Gospel Mission or the Naomi Center and will pray for them. Individuals in need should be referred to these places. Finally if you feel threatened in any way and you are carrying your cell phone, call 911 and report the incident. At no time should you ever reach into your wallet or purse.

Tenth Street Has Changed

The City of St. Paul has changed Tenth Street into a one-way street beginning at Jackson Street and going west to Cedar. There will be designated bike lanes on the south side of 10th street as well. Therefore any parking that was allowed on the south side of 10th street will no longer exist. The fire department has also graciously allowed parking beginning at 9:00am daily on the north-side of 10th street. Please do not park in this area before 9:00am as the fire department has pick up and drop offs of personnel from 6:00am to 9:00am daily.

Lost and Found

we have many items in our lost and found, some from last winter. If you may have lost an item, St. Anthony could be beckoning you to check our lost and found in the sacristy. Please stop by after Mass.

Let us remember we are in the Holy Presence of God

Part of the time we spend before and after Mass, can be for some of us, greeting friends and acquaintances. We should never forget that we are in the House of God and that numerous people come to pray quietly before and after Mass and in some cases both. Let's do our best to keep our voices always to a whisper remembering we are in the holy presence of God.

Altar Servers Needed!!!

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

St. Louis offers Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 11 am, immediately before the 12:10 pm Wednesday Mass.
